Innovation in video: remote driving of a VOLVO truck equipped with a bulk tanker

Always listening to its customers, VRAC PLUS is always looking for innovations. Last week, Mr RECH, one of our transport customers from the Aveyron, took possession of a unique set.

Our customer, already equipped with a VRAC PLUS tank, was looking for an easy way to position the auger on his tank without having to get in and out of his cab. The auger allows for easy and high flow rate feed intake in livestock operations.

Thanks to the dialogue between the radio control and the electronic interface of the chassis, the driving of the vehicle is possible outside the cabin: acceleration-deceleration, braking, parking brake, steering control, reverse gear, engagement of the power take-off... The positioning of the carrier is done in complete safety with regard to the external environment.

Our design office worked on the relaying of the tanker functions: lifting, screw orientation, stop and restart of the screws, etc. All the functions already present on the usual radio control. This radio control complies with the safety requirements and with the 2006/42/CE machine directive, in particular the obligation of an emergency stop on the radio control.

The benefits for the driver are directly noticeable: greater safety and ease of use.

With the remote control of a VOLVO truck, VRAC PLUS is the first French manufacturer to install this option on a bulk tanker.
