VRAC PLUS exhibits its know-how in Auvergne

The VRAC PLUS group was present at the Sommet de l'élevage from 5 to 8 October 2021 (Cournon d'Auvergne - Puy de Dôme 63). VRAC PLUS was on an outdoor stand, to present a carrier and trailer combination with unique features.

There were many meetings: it was a pleasure to see our clients again and above all to discuss their businesses and activities.

The carrier + trailer set exhibited was in the colours of the company JAMBON Alimentation animale, a long-standing customer of TSCI - VRAC PLUS.

JAMBON Alimentation Animale is a company based in Murat and established in the Massif Central.

The JAMBON Animal Feed company had specific specifications. Mr Berthon, logistics manager, explains some of its characteristics:

"We are developing our activity around the Cantal and have had the project of a carrier + trailer for several years. We wanted this combination to be the most suitable for our activity and our region.

VRAC PLUS had a lot of experience with truck trailers. One of our requests was to have a silo screw model on the trailer identical to the carrier. This configuration will allow us to deliver by screw while remaining coupled to the farm. By placing the carrier in parallel with the trailer, we can also load the trailer's compartments into the carrier. This is a logistical gain: the carrier can go solo and access difficult places.

Another request was to have the e-silo automation on the tanks, similar to the previous vehicles with bodies. VRAC PLUS had not yet developed this module on its trailers.

The e-silo offer is implemented thanks to an on-board automaton equipped with a 10" industrial touch screen. Particularly ergonomic, the driver can see the progress of his delivery in the blink of an eye and control the smooth running of deliveries thanks to a very intuitive interface.

Géraud Serre, operational manager of the Jambon Group, explains:

"The e-silo automation facilitates the use of the tanks and allows us to have the history of the deliveries (time stamping of the opening and closing of the hatches, cleaning of the silo).

We have created an organic food business in the Cantal. In these sectors, food traceability is essential. It is even more important with 9 compartments!

Finally, the icing on the cake is that the total payload approaches 26 tonnes thanks to the exclusive VRAC PLUS auger configuration and optimised design.

Throughout the four days, many customers and visitors were impressed by this ensemble, which was particularly well displayed in the exhibition aisles.
