A new VRAC PLUS semi-trailer on the roads of the Basque country!
At the start of 2021, Messrs. Jean-Philippe and Bruno LADEUIX, managers of the ATHERBEA company in the Basque country – specializing in the trading of agricultural products – took possession of their new 3-axle bulk animal nutrition semi-trailer manufactured by Carrosserie Guillonneau – VRAC PLUSgroup.

Their livestock feed tanker fleet consisting of a 26 T carrier (6×2 towing), a 32 T carrier (8×4 tridem) and a 3-axle semi-trailer, has just expanded with the arrival of this new ultra-compact semi-trailer. Indeed, with a length of 9.70 m, this tank is one of the shortest on the market. This length facilitates access to particularly tight places. “Combined with a first lifting axle and a third SAF steering axle controlled from the cabin, our experienced driver reaches local farms where the approach is particularly difficult,” Jean-Philippe tells us.
« Dans notre région, nous devons faire face à des conditions de routes très variées. Mais en grande majorité, il s’agit de trajets sur des routes sinueuses, en dévers, dans des conditions parfois grasses. Nous avions une première expérience réussie de ce type d’ensemble avec notre première semi-remorque VRAC PLUS. Nous avons choisi de renouveler notre confiance à la Carrosserie GUILLONNEAU pour la réalisation de notre nouveau projet. VRAC PLUS a su répondre à nos demandes d’amélioration et à notre cahier des charges spécifique. Nous avons donc un matériel performant, adapté à notre utilisation», ajoute Bruno.
Jean-Philippe concludes: “A semi-trailer is a significant investment for a company of our size. But, we are sure to keep this semi-trailer in operation for more than a decade, because it was built to last thanks to its qualitative and robust design. Finally, we are proud to display the colors of the Basque country on the undulations of the tank! »

The icing on the cake (Basque!), the semi-trailer, equipped with scraper screws and in double equipment, coupled to its red tractor, reaches a payload of 28 tonnes.
