VRAC PLUS designs not only tankers, but also its own trailer chassis. These chassis are made to measure. This means that we have full control over the project.

 

VRAC PLUS semi-trailers have full European type approval, allowing them to be registered throughout Europe.

 

Our frames are made of high quality HLE (high strength steel), to ensure their robustness, despite the mechanical constraints encountered in our business.

 

The 3-axle VRAC PLUS semi-trailers are capable of transporting up to 29 tonnes of product (gross vehicle weight up to 44 tonnes).

 

 

Axle configuration

 

SAF axles, installed on most VRAC PLUS chassis, have an off-road warranty, 6 years / 1 million Km. This guarantee is a guarantee of the durability of your trailer.

The axles on a 3-axle trailer can be adapted to your specific requirements and operational constraints:

 

^3rd lift axle :

For many years, this configuration has made it possible to reduce the wheelbase by raising the^third axle when loaded. This configuration combines economy, reduced maintenance costs and improved access to farms.

 

^3rd steering axle :

This configuration reduces tyre wear, by limiting the slippage of the 3rd axle.

 

^3rd steering axle :

VRAC PLUS has been equipping semi-trailers with this device for more than 20 years. It is a steering axle that can be steered hydraulically. The^third axle can be steered from the cab or from the radio control. This system allows for even better access to the farms.

 

^2nd and^3rd axle directional V+V :

VRAC PLUS is the only bulk tanker manufacturer to offer and install this dual directional system for better manoeuvrability.

 

 

 

The wheels are steered hydraulically by electronic control. For information purposes, a sensor on the fifth wheel measures the angular displacement between the tractor and the trailer. Based on this measurement and depending on the speed of the trailer, the steering is optimised.

This orientation can be imposed with the radio control during difficult manoeuvres.

 

A wide range of options

 

 

VRAC PLUS can also offer a 2-axle chassis with 2 directional axles.

To make this accessibility even easier, all VRAC PLUS chassis are equipped with a raising and lowering control. The mechanical suspension can be used to raise the chassis height by 8 cm. The STABILITY option of the EBS boxes, which is present on our chassis, also increases driver safety.

Many options are available: galvanisation of the chassis, innovative systems for consulting information from the EBS, tyre re-inflation, ALCOA aluminium rims, etc.

 

Modular and customisable, VRAC PLUS also adapts the dimensions of the tank to your operating constraints and your specific requirements. Our bodies can be adapted to your height, length and volume constraints.
