VRAC PLUS for breeders in Belgium
The VRAC PLUS group (TSCI - GUILLONNEAU) has been present on the Belgian market for many years.
In Belgium, the use of mechanical VRAC PLUS systems for bulk transport of animal feed is increasing in comparison with pressurised tanks. The advantages of these systems are numerous: screw delivery rate, large roof opening, preservation of product integrity, etc.
For more than 10 years, Frédéric Aernoudt has been transporting animal nutrition with these systems in the Chimay region.

In particular, the For Farmers factory, for which he works, requires him to deliver a lot of pelleted or flaked feed in a blower (pneumatic equipment).
"For my business, we installed a large lock and an oil cooler on the trailer. The large lock allows for an optimised flow. The oil cooler makes it possible to gain in efficiency, the oil heats up less when delivering large batches of blowers. Finally, the mechanical system avoids the unmixing that is usually found with pressurised tanks.
Mr. Aernoudt chose a semi-trailer with an auxiliary engine. The installed auxiliary engine allows him to have a semi-trailer that is independent of his tractor. All the functions are on theradio control: the functions of the tank (orientation of the silo screw, stop and restart of the auxiliary engine and screws, lighting of the working lights) but also that of the chassis (1st lift axle and3rd steering axle). These functions are very ergonomic and allow a great reactivity during manoeuvres.
The VRAC PLUS semi-trailer is also a guarantee of reliability and durability over time: "I only have one vehicle in operation: I can't afford to have it immobilised for long.
